Have you ever nagged a person? Well, if you have not, you have missed out on a great feeling — a sense of well being. And before you go knocking nagging, consider the following carefully: Contrary to popular belief it is a positive thing in many ways.
But why a Cyber Nag? In conventional nagging, the subject has to be present physically and there has to be a relevant topic for nagging. Cyberspace has removed these limitations. And the bonus: There are subjects galore in cyberspace and their variety is limitless. So one can go nag, nag and crib and crib about anything and everything, knowing that it will apply to one or the other of the visitors who stumble upon the blog! By the way, my firstborn gave me the title of Cybermom when I began nagging him through mails while he was in college! I changed it slightly to suit my profile here!
Nagging is actually an art if you ask me: You have to pick up the subject and object carefully. Otherwise you are ignored by the one you are nagging. For instance, I never go, “Pick up the junk in your room,” or, “Have you emptied the trash?” or “Get the leaky tap fixed, will you?”
Instead I say, “That darn tap is going drip drip and is driving me nuts. Couldn’t sleep a wink last night,” or, “This morning I tripped over the cricket bat in the middle of the room and nearly broke my neck,” and keep repeating these statements in so many ways, directly and indirectly to the world at large that sooner than later one or the other takes the hint. The offending object is removed, the stinky trash emptied and somehow one of them figures a way to get the tap fixed, which might include doing it himself or herself. ‘Oh, anything to shut her up,’ they think. But I am gloating about the accomplished mission, aren’t I?
Come to think of it: actually it is educational. Doesn’t it teach them to do things themselves? So you now agree that nagging has its positive points, right?
The subjects I write about are varied but they are everyday stuff that everyone can identify with in one way or the other. Sometimes you will go back in time; at others you might just be living the thing. So do read my posts, give me your comments and criticisms so that I can come back and nag you some more!

Hi Zephyr,
I’m lucky to have stumbled upon your blog! Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Rahul and i’m one of the people behind the movement to ‘Bring the BQC Back’. You can see the entire movement here – http://www.facebook.com/bringbqcback
We started off about 2 months ago and we’ve been floored by the kind of response we’ve gotten with almost a 100,000 people wanting BQC Back. It started off as something simple – an experiment of sorts. We love quizzing and just wanted to see how many people do as well so we started this page out.
We would love for you to write an article for us on our movement!
We will link the same with our facebook page.
Do get back to us on bringbqcback@gmail.com
Thanks,
Rahul
